What is a ball python breeder site without an "About" page? ... Probably a lot better off, but I'll bore you with stupid details
about myself anyway.
Like most of the people consumed by a passion for ball pythons, I have always had "fish tank" pets ... snakes, lizards, fish, tarantulas ... you name it, at one time or another I probably kept it.
As a kid, I was a prolific zoo keeper at home until I joined the Marine Corps and had to give up my animals while I lived in the barracks
for several years.
Once I got out of the service, it wasn't long before I returned to my
passion for animals.
I started getting heavily into ball pythons in 1996. I was doing a lot of rescue work
specifically with balls at the time and they seemed to be everywhere.
That year I had my first "accidental breeding". I used to keep groups of
ball pythons in large 36" x 24" custom Neodesha's, and one spring I got eggs! After a
few calls to friends for advice, I setup a homemade
incubator and waited those long two months. Hatching that first clutch of ball pythons was amazing! I was hooked for life.
After my initial breeding "success" I started absorbing as much information as I could about ball pythons. I combed the internet every day
trying to learn everything I could, and that's when I saw my first albino balls. I had to have one! I bought an adult het albino male and
four 50% possible het female
hatchlings and started on my quest to produce albinos. Two years later when that first yellow and white head poked out of the egg, there was only one thing I wanted ... MORE BALL PYTHONS!!!
8 Ball Pythons is my addiction and my passion. I work exclusively with ball pythons and always will. They are and always have been
my favorite animal. I am a ball python GEEK. My friends and family are kind
enough to tolerate my insane ramblings about ball pythons that consume every aspect of my life. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Even though I am the sole owner of 8 Ball Pythons, I will occasionally use the words "we" or "us" to talk about my company.
That's because of the incredible support network of friends and family I have to help whenever and
wherever I need. Especially my brother Ryan, without his help I would
be lost!
So there is a quick summary of me. All in all, pretty boring and unimpressive. I am certainly not a rock star and in no way
poised to take over the ball python "world" ... thank goodness! I'm just a ball python fanatic doing something pretty cool in my spare time, and
that's
the way I like it!
